When people starts reading someone’s writing, they gets addicted to it. If we see in Nepalese literature, there are many writers whose novels are full with emotion and reality. Due to their popular novels, they had made our country pride. Here are some of the novelist of Nepal who are known for their writings:
Buddhi Sagar:
Buddhi Sagar is one of the famous Nepali writer. Born in June 2, 1981 A.D. in Kailali district of Nepal, he has been very famous in the section of poems, novels and columns. His one of the best writing is the novel named Karnali Blues which was published in 2010. Similarly, he has got other writing like Phirphire, Jalepaxi, etc. He won various awards like Rastriya Kavita Pratiyogita (2001), Rastriya Kavita Mahotsav (2003) and Rastriya Pratibha Puraskar (2010).
Samrat Upadhyay:
Samrat Upadhyay was born in 1974 in the capital city of Nepal. Samrat Upadhyay is now a professor in Indiana University. Samrat University is known for his creative writings. His books are mainly based on the present condition of Nepalese people. His one of the greatest writing is Arresting God in Kathmandu. He has wrote other novels like The Guru of Love, The Royal Ghosts, Buddha’s Orphans, and so on.
Parijat:
Bishnu Kumari Waiba (Parijat) was born in 1937 in Darjeeling which used to be the part of Nepal. Among all her popular artistic Novels, Poetry and Short stories, she is known mainly for her novel named Shiris Ko Phool. She had received various awards like Madan Puraskar, Sarwashrestha Pandulipi Puraskar, Basundhara Puraskar and Brindabrit. Her other novels and poems are Mahattahin, Baishko Manche, Akanksha, Baisalu Bartaman, and so on.
Subin Bhattarai:
Subin Bhattarai is a Nepali novelist born in 1982 A.D. in Dharan district of Nepal. He is mainly known for his novel named Summer Love. His book, Summer Love was sold more than 40,000 copies which became the best-selling book of the year. His novel are mainly based on love and affection. He has written all together four novels i.e. Kathaki Paatra, Summer Love, Saaya, and Monsoon.
Krishna Dharabasi:
Krishna Dharabasi was born in June 17, 1960 A.D. in Panchthar district of Nepal. He has won different awards like Madan Puraskar in 2005 A.D. Among all his novels, he is mainly noticed for his two novels named Jhola and Radha.
