Nowadays a mass of youth are involving in Metal music by listing and singing widely. Here we have a list of top five Metal Bands of Nepal.
X-MANTRA
X-MANTRA is a popular Nepali trash and heavy metal band formed in 2000 Kathmandu. They have released their five album till the date and the first album was released in 2001 named “Crying For Peace”. The band has four member Rojesh on vocal, Rakesh on guitar, Piyush on bass and vocal and Rajan on drums. They have won the best band of the year title in 2005 held in Pokhara . The band has number of hit songs like Shaleek, Boksi, Pralaye and so on.
UNDERSIDE
The UNDERSIDE is a Nepali Trash and Rock Metal band hailing from Kathmandu Nepal and formed in December 2010 with five members (Avishek KC on vocal, Bbek Tamanag on drums, Manil Shakya on bass, Bikash Bhujel on guitars and Bkrant Shrestha on guitars ). The band released its first EP in 2014 named “welcome to the underside” and that was accompanied in a music video Disconnect. The band currently signed with Silence Records for their recordings.
ANTIM GRAHAN
ANTIM GRAHAN is a one and only Black, Death and Underground Metal band of Nepal having international level of record and reputation. Initially, the band was formed as melodic and Symphonic black metal later on it changed on Death and Black and started to give Death Black Metal outfits. In current situation they are inactive and try to come with new album. ANTIM GRAHAN released six albums and “Forever Winter, “Gray Morning Kingdom” and “Her Demise” are theirs hit songs.
VHUMI
VHUMI is a famous Melodic Death Metal Nepali Band hailing form Kathmandu Nepal. The band has underground background which is success to perform outside of valley. There are five members (Bikash Gurung on vocal and guitar, Anil Dhital on bass, Kunjan Joshi on bass and Bibek Tamang on keyword and violin) in band. They released their first album in 2007 named “Vhumi”.
ARACHINDS
ARACHINDS is a Nepali Death metal band form Kathmandu and the band is currently inactive. The band was formed in 2006 and activated only for three years. The band was formed with five members (Prabin on vocal, Eros and Akash on guitar, Saurav on bass and Robin on drums.) ARACHINDS is a first Nepali Band to record a song in ethnic language of Newari. “Kaal Bhairav” is a only one album of this band released in 2008.
