The story was inspired by a magazine article
Actually the story of The Fast and The Furious was inspired from a magazine article published on May 1998. The article was about the illegal street racing in Queens, New Work by Ken Li on titled “Racer-x”. The producer of the series read that article and later on planned a movie by the name of The Fast and The Furious.
The series/ movie included real races scenes
The series included the real races scenes which was taken from the preparation for directing the movie. Here you can see Cohen in small role who delivers pizza in the movie, help of 200 souped-up cars driven actually in illegal way. And it was the real scenes of illegal races scenes.
