Garden of Dreams
The Garden of Dreams is an ancient garden situated in Thamel, Kathmandu. The size of the Garden is 6,895 sq. meter. It was created by Kaiser Shumsher in 1920s. It was revamped in 2007. It has historical importance as well, as this place is said to be the place where Manjushree cut down the hill to draw off the lake. This place is also a paradise for bird watchers near Kathmandu as different migratory birds halt here on their migration process.
Chandragiri
Chandragiri Hill is 12 km from Kalanki ring road. It is one of the tallest points around Kathmandu valley at 2551 meters from sea level. The landscape view of the different mountain ranges makes this place great for scenic beauty. You can see the view of high mountains and low valleys from the same point. It is said that King Prithvi Narayan Shah made up his mind to conquer Kathmandu valley after being impressed with the view from Chandragiri. The Bhaleshwor Mahadev temple is also a popular spot as it carries mythical importance. Chandragiri Hills Private Ltd. has facilitated going to the place through cable car although hiking is also quite popular.
